Judy Garland
Helen is no stranger to the role of Judy, she played Judy Garland in the musical Judy! at The Arts Theatre in London’s West End. Helen has worked extensively in theatre and TV – including Mistress Quickly in Merry Wives and Goneril in King Lear for Northern Broadsides, directed by Sir Jonathan Miller; In the Jungle of the
Cities (Arcola); Good to Firm (Talking Scarlett); Quasimodo (Kings Head Theatre); Vieux Carre (Charing Cross Theatre); Mari Hoff in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice (Hull Truck and UK Tour) and Shirley Valentine. Her TV
roles include Brookside; The Hello Girls; Hangar 17 (BBC); Meterosexuality (Channel 4) and Family Affairs (Channel 5), Last Tango in Halifax; Silent Witness; Holby City; Casualty; Doctors; Dalziel and Pascoe.
She played recurring character Mrs Wigan in three seasons of Downton Abbey.
Helen Sheals
Emma’s acting career began at the age of 9 when she toured the UK in the title role of Annie. Liverpool born Emma headed to London to join the Italia Conti Academy for Performing Arts where she left before completing the course as she was offered a part in the Tour of “Les Miserables” performing in Dublin. and Edinburgh. She then went on to enjoy a long spell in London’s West End playing “Ellen” in Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, “Milk Maid” and Understudy to Ruthie Henshall as “Nancy” in Oliver at the London Palladium and taking on the role of “Rizzo” in Grease at the Cambridge. She has also played Mary Magdalene in Jesus Christ Superstar UK Tour and Debs in Boogie Nights starring opposite Shane Richie. Emma has Most recently played the role of Beggar woman In Sweeney Todd at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre. TV work includes Nice Guy Eddy, Shameless, Hollyoaks and Brookside for Channel 4 and Second Coming and most recently playing the role of Heather in Emmerdale for ITV and Crone in Channel 4's highly acclaimed "It's a Sin".
